Marlene is a Program Manager and Case Worker with The Renewal House, a nonprofit shelter and rehabilitation program "devoted to rebuilding older lives by restoring independence." Working exclusively with tenants 58 years of age and above, Marlene does everything from one-on-one sessions therapy sessions, leading group exercises, and even taking tenants shopping for clothes and furniture. With an impoverished upbringing similar to the Renewal House tenants, Marlene is able to use her deep, personal understanding of their needs to make a positive impact on their lives.
