Job Fraud Warning Signs

Searching for a job on-line is a common practice, but also becoming common these days is on-line job fraud. Scams. That job listing you found that seems too good to be true, well it just might be.

You should pay a person up front who promises to find you a job.
You should be hesitant with a stranger who emails you out of the blue about a job opportunity.
It is ok to share your driver's license number with a stranger, but not your credit card number.
One way to avoid a job scam is to research the company thoroughly.
If the hiring manager only wants to communicate with you via email or text, that is a red flag.
A normal job listing usually offers high compensation for little amount of work.
A contact email address that is not associated with a company, like @gmail or @yahoo, should give you pause.
You should never send money to someone that you do not know.
