>> So my name is Mike Mathis [assumed spelling].
So currently I work at a long
short hedge fund in New York City.
To back up from their hedge
fund is essentially more
or less I guess you're the equity and credit.
Equity hedge funds are basically
buying or selling stocks
to try to make money for investors.
On the credit side you're buying and selling
bonds to make money for your investors.
And there are a bunch of different
types within those genres.
And so what we do specifically is
basically look at [inaudible] situations.
And so anywhere from M&A,
spin-offs, rights offering IPOs.
We try to basically get an edge at looking at
those types of situations and basically having,
you know, a little bit more of an expertise
than other people out in the market.
