>> One of my professional highlights
was being elected the national president
of the American Society for Medical Technology.
And that happened while I was
here at Temple University.
I was the Assistant Dean of the
College of Allied Health Professions.
And in that role I was very fortunate
that the university supported me
in being engaged in the national arena.
And so while I was president of the
American Society for Medical Technology,
I had an opportunity to give
testimony in Washington before a number
of Congressional committees, had
an opportunity to participate
in shaping the Clinical Laboratory
Improvement Act.
And so it's that kind of
thing that is very rewarding.
It wasn't a single event
but much more a process.
