>> Legislation and that's
probably one of the bigger ones.
Many of you know that even three years ago
we had a bout with the City of Philadelphia.
They tried to ban outdoor
meals for the homeless.
We were actually very successful in
leading a federal case against them,
and was able to get an injunction
against that law.
That case is actually still in court now
but I don't think it'll ever go to trial.
I think this administration is just trying
to push it towards the next administration
to see what they'll do with it.
But, you know, we're going to continue to
be on the battlefield, even with situations
like the recent visit with the Pope being here.
And although the Pope had nothing to do with it,
the city really tried to do everything they can
to prevent us from coming into the parkway
on that Saturday but we're glad to report
that no matter what, we were determined
that we were going to get there.
Matter of fact, we put the food
on carts and carted it 16 blocks
to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, dealt
with the Secret Service, the CIA, the L&I,
the bomb-sniffing dog, and everything else.
And it took us three hours to get 16 blocks
because of all the hoops that we had to get
through to get that food into the parkway.
But one of the homeless guys just said something
that I knew I could count on you to be here.
