>> I think you only succeed if you have somebody
who's willing to take you under their wing,
and I think what people don't
realize a good mentor is not somebody
who always tells you how great they are.
They're the person that will say, "You
know that was a really dumb thing to do"
and then they'll step back and say "talk to me,
let's talk about what you
should have done differently."
So, I had some of those, they were not
always people that were easy on me,
but I think at the end of the
day I've been very successful
because I had people all along the way
whether they were at Temple or my career
as I've gone along, and even now I have people
that I look to as someone I can ask advice
and give you really that
unfiltered advice that you need.
I think a good mentor really is the
person that most is honest with you.
