>> Hi. I'm Mia Robb and I'm cofounder
of Dual Natures Interior Design.
Well, we are interior designers.
We focus a lot on commercial
and residential places.
And we also do custom furniture,
which is something that I head up.
I work in a woodshop, actually
on NexFab Studios.
It's on Washington Street.
And, yeah, it's been really cool.
I right out of college started working there.
And I learned a lot about --
mostly woodworking is my forte,
but I have a little dabbling in welding.
So right now I'm working on a really
big shelving unit for a restaurant
that we're designing in Old City.
It's going to be almost like
a replacement for a wall.
So it's going to be pretty awesome.
And a lot of times we help people between
their vision and the implementation stage.
Sometimes I'll have a client who is like I have
no idea and I don't care and that's fine too.
But a lot of times they've seen things and they
are like I really want this feel or whatever.
And then we can take them the rest of
the way to get to where they want to go.
So we do a walk through and
then we'll ask people
like what do you want your place to feel like?
We're very into [inaudible]
centered interior design,
trying to make your spaces somewhere
that you want to come home to.
We do the whole walk-through and then
we'll go back and we'll make a proposal.
Then we'll send them over the proposal.
They'll approve what they like.
And then mostly they'll tell
us what they want different.
And then we take a couple of drafts and
then kind of start putting it into motion.
Like with our restaurant, we did the proposal
and then I immediately got into the woodshop
and started making the planters and the shelves.
Saige is my partner.
And she does a lot of the ordering of
seatings, tables, decor, things of that nature.
