>> So my name is Sovina Wong.
I am a swimwear designer and I
have my own line of swimwear.
I'm based out of Hong Kong, and most
of my swimwear is sold online
or through my retail shop.
Right now what I'm working on is to build
up the retail and the online business
through social media, which
is for me, a very new area.
But also I see this huge potential in it.
So that's kind of where I think we're going
to be focusing a lot of our resources.
So just take away from the human
resources and just put it through digital.
And it-- Because some swimwear itself to
sell on a retail basis is very time consuming
and manpower consuming, because to fit a woman
with a bikini that she likes when she can sift
through like 40 different prints
and colors and ten styles and--
is a very, very, very time consuming
process, so I want to eliminate that.
So I thought of the brand 13 years ago.
So for me, it's kind of-- I can do
it in my sleep now, because it's-- -
it's been done so many cycles round, but the
production process is, in terms of a calendar,
would be design-- - design
happens usually in May, June, July.
Orders have to be placed with
my factory by August/September
for an April the following year production,
which is usually just in
time for pre-Spring break.
For me-- for my market, it would be pre-Easter.
Designing would be collecting, Gosh,
images I've collected throughout the year.
You know, I travel a lot, so there's
a lot of pictures I always use.
There's a lot of-- - iPhone's
great now, because I can just snap
up images whenever I'm traveling.
I amalgamate those, and then the design
process actually just happens on the computer.
I don't do pen and paper or paints anymore.
So, figure out a print first,
and the print actually just goes
onto existing styles that I have.
So I have a basic six tops and eight
bottoms that I know are great fits.
I design-- You know, when you start a business,
you have to look at the niche market
you're trying to actually satisfy.
Don't try to please everyone.
So my market specifically was petite figures.
