>> Ashely Thornberry Director of Corporate
Relations and Partnerships at Campus Phili.
So I handle a lot of our business partnerships,
our collaborations with regional employers
that are interested in connecting
with college students in Philadelphia.
On a daily basis I work with students,
also employers and local companies.
We have a number of ways that we reach out.
First and foremost we're very high touch
so a lot of meetings, a lot of events,
but we also have a number of platforms to
connect with people wherever they are whenever.
So social media, newsletters, I
personally manage our companies page
on LinkedIn, our group on LinkedIn.
So campus Phili is a non-profit and our
mission is to not only attract college students
in Philadelphia but help them engage
with the local community and their peers
on other campuses while they're here so
that when they graduate it's really easy
to choose Phili as a place
to live, work and play.
While the city does a great job all on its
own, my job really is to just highlight all
of the great ways the student can get involved.
So we have a program called Open Arts, which
provides students with free or discounted access
to arts and culture venues,
performances, and shows.
We also have a website that helps students
find internships and job opportunities,
as well as ways to get involved
and volunteer in their communities.
So we just provide the platform.
Phili is a great place to learn and live and
we just see our job as unveiling all of that
and helping college students connect.
Because for college students it sometimes
can be a little scary, a little intimidating
and so we're just there to help them along.
