>> You know really to prepare for a career
I'd really encourage a Penn State student just
to get involved across campus and so,
the days of a 4.0 person being your
prime candidate have gone away,
it's really about collaboration and
working across cross-functional teams.
So I think what's important is getting
involved on campus and exposing yourself
to other opportunities like
internships, study abroad opportunities,
and then leadership roles
within student organizations.
I guess the advice I'd have for students that
want to get into a supply chain field is really
to start exploring the major early.
Supply chain is not necessarily
as commonly known a finance,
accounting which seems a
little bit more cut and dry.
So it's really in that freshman, sophomore
year learning more about the major,
and how it relates to what you
may want to do in the future.
