>> Well, one thing I love about it is every day
is different, and there's always new things,
and I think that keeps it interesting.
I'm basically trying to rebuild this
whole system kind of trying to build
like a digital electric grid for this town
out of all this data that was previously held
in paper maps, hand-drawn paper maps.
So my average day is trying to
do that, but then again, I have--
I do the mapping of like sewers and stuff
like that too, so if there's any kind
of new construction or jobs going
on it's like half office job,
but I find myself like you know a hard hat
with like steel toe boots on all the time too.
So that's really interesting that I just
have a variety of things that I could have.
Now usually, I have some idea of what it's going
to be, but I certainly appreciate the variety.
What I love about maps is I think
there's-- it's just a model of the world;
it's a way to visually kind of show
people what is really out in the world.
So and it makes me glad to come to work every
morning and just have an opportunity to do that,
do something that I actually went
to school for, because I liked more
than necessarily thinking it would get me a job,
and it just happened that they both worked out.
My biggest challenge is probably
trying to battle a lot
of the old-school ways of
thinking about doing things.
So like this is very like kind of a computerized
tech-savvy field, and a lot of the employees,
there aren't necessarily on board with
all that, so just trying to get people
to accept positive change and new
technology, and to kind of be on board
with it, because not everybody is.
