Get a degree in English or
in writing and linguistics.
Write everyday and read.
Reading is very important.
The more you read and expand your
horizons through literature and just
through the newspapers, then the more knowledge
you have and the more on-trend you can stay
to bring up something like a magazine with
new concepts that are exciting for everybody.
You have to be an effective time manager.
You have to be able to multi-task.
You have to be able to be at ease
with people and put people at ease,
because you interview all different
types, from movie stars and presidents
of companies, down to the man on the street.
We have a local produce guy named "The Green
Man" that sells boiled peanuts on the street.
We've done a story on him before.
So it's good to be able to relate to everyone.
