>> I originally enlisted in the
Reserves when I was 18 years old.
I went to Penn State University, and
while I was Penn State University,
I met an officer selection officer like myself.
A little intimidating because he was 6, 7 .
Built much bigger than me, and I met him,
and he helped me understand the transition
from Reserves or college student to officer.
I decided as a sophomore that's what
I wanted to do because I knew I wanted
to have a job lined up when I graduated.
I wanted to train during the summer.
No chance to get pulled out of school.
Finished up with a degree in business
management marketing at Penn State.
Graduated in 2008, became an infantry officer.
Spent that until 2012 in
Camp Jejune, North Carolina.
I was selected to be an officer
selection officer.
Got my third choice, which was Gainesville,
Florida, and now I'm getting my executive MBA
at the University of Florida
while doing this job.
And both my degrees are paid
for by the Marine Corps.
So that's a nice perk as well.
