>> I actually am from [inaudible], Georgia.
I went to Georgia Southern University.
I started out as a math major.
Thought I wanted to be a math teacher.
Really was in, I love math.
I'm really good with it.
Really thought that that's what I wanted to do,
but then I realized I wasn't
really a kid-friendly person.
So I was, like, let me change
my major, and see how it goes.
I actually talked to, I'll never forget it.
I talked to a professor, and she was
a fashion merchandising professor,
and she just was so passionate about what
she did, and it actually drawed me to it.
So I became a fashion merchandising major, and
then I was, like, I really feel like a need more
of a business major with this just
because even with our fashion merchandise,
it's more creative, but I feel like
I need something more structured
and actually will help me get to
where I need to because I wanted to,
thought I wanted to work in retail at that time.
So I changed my major to fashion merchandising
and marketing, and then decided, oh, OK, yeah.
I really want to be in magazines.
So I interned for a magazine,
a couple magazines.
I wrote for the, one of our magazines
on campus, and one day I didn't, like,
I literally thought I was going to be
hired by them, and it didn't work out.
And then one day Brian Holly, he actually
came to my class, and he talked about Target,
and just from how he was talking
about it, I was, like, wow.
Like, this store just seems very pas, like, he
just seems very passionate about what he does,
and that's why I look for is
passionate people and motivated people.
So it actually drawed me to talk to them
at the career fair, and I actually talked
to a girl named Yolydia, and she actually was
[inaudible], everybody there was so passionate
and just so energized, and that's what Target
looks for, and that's what really excited me
into looking more into it, and then
I ended up getting hired by them.
