When you actually make the phone call to follow
up and say, "I met you at this career expo.
I'm just checking to see if you guys have
had a chance to go through résumé's.'
You know, whatever it is to check
in to see because that shows,
first of all, that you're interested.
We are busy people.
And after this particular
expo, I may not be able to go
through all the résumé's
as quickly as I would like.
And so if you call me, you're going to put
your name-- and my conversation with you--
I may get to have more of a conversation with
you over the phone which then gives you more
of an advantage than somebody
who didn't call back.
That person doesn't really-- isn't like
interested in the job, you know, kind of thing.
So, yes, calling back is a necessity.
