>> I had the opportunity to either go
to Jefferson or Hahnemann or Temple,
and I chose Temple because brand new curriculum.
They were beginning to look at ways in which to
teach medicine that was different from the old--
well, the Flexner Report came out in 1910,
but if you look at medical education per se,
this same structure exists
for the most part today.
I think there was-- sort of fits and starts
at attempts of trying to change that.
I think that the professors and the clinicians
were still, you know, holding on to the--
you know, holding on to the past, and I think
we, you know, together we sort of, you know,
broke some of those shackles
and changed things over time.
But I think by the time our class finished,
I believe that there was additional tinkering
with the curriculum, and I still think even
today, talk about, you know, it's 2014.
And I think the Dean will
tell you that, you know,
we're trying to make the curriculum
better and more integrated.
