>> In all honesty there -- well, there
are several things I like about the job.
First of all I work in an amazing building.
The Philadelphia Museum of Art
was built and was opened in 1928
and it is the largest neoclassical
building in America.
And it is a fabulous, fabulous
building and actually if you were
to ask me what my favorite object in
the museum is I would say the building.
But anyway.
And so then I walk into this amazing building
and I walk past Peter Paul
Rueben's on my way to the office.
I mean, most days, seriously, I walk in
there and I say this is where I work?
And then the other thing that's
really so wonderful about my job is
that almost every day I learn something new.
Because part of my job, a major
part of what I do is research.
And so I learn something new and I get to
think about objects and how they were made,
what they meant to people, how they were used,
what they say about the history
of taste and style.
I can't think of a challenge.
I mean, honestly, I've been at the
Museum of 30 plus years, 32 years.
And I still look forward every
day that I've got to work.
