>> I would not recommend you follow my path.
I went to Syracuse as, I think
I studied law and public policy.
I thought I was going to move back to DC and
do something in politics or government or,
you know, something that I knew growing up.
Came to Los Angeles to probably go to
law school, I think was why I came here.
I think I also came here just to
have fun and try something different.
And I didn't like the job I was in in
commercial real estate and found myself as a PA
on a TV show called The Man Show and got
extremely lucky with Jimmy Kimmel and some
of the guys at the show taking
a liking to me, and it was just,
it was an obvious career path for me.
The combination of business and creative
and also it being a fun atmosphere,
I really was like, this is what I want to do.
And I had a couple cool little jobs
when I was young, PAing, like, you know,
making 50 bucks a day kind of thing.
But it got me enough education and experience
to go out and make my first film, which is,
you know, it's a small little indy, but it was,
it was the right shot to take at the right time.
And that kind of got me started making movies.
