>> Well, I think today there
are a lot more resources that --
I mean, I don't want to paint myself
as an old hag or anything [laughter],
but when I was in school, you
know, Human Resources was,
I think, an underdeveloped profession.
Today there are all kinds of institutes
and professional development programs
that people interested in Human
Resources can really pursue.
You can get a degree in Human Resources now,
and that degree wasn't available
when I was in school.
I am certified.
I'm a professional in Human Resources
and that certification is obtainable
through the Human Resources Certification
Institute, and they're a partner organization
with the Society of Human Resources Management.
So I think that when you're exploring any
career, whether it's mine or any other,
you need to look into professional
organizations, join those organizations.
A lot of times they're affordable; they don't
really cost a lot of annual memberships,
and they're -- those websites give you so
much information about the different types
of careers you can pursue in
that particular job function.
