>> I was an English major.
I was studying, honestly I was
doing a lot of poetry type stuff.
My senior seminar was William Carlos Williams.
You know, so I've always
been interested in language.
I mean that's something -- you know the
way that language works is something
that I've always been interested.
When I was going to school, I thought well
I'm going to be a book editor when I grow up
and I tried that for a few years.
And the economics of it didn't work out.
I got laid off a couple of times and
after the second time that happened,
I said okay well you know I need something
that's -- maybe I need to try something else.
So I got into this job at
a much more lower level.
I've had a number of promotions throughout
the years and I've been there ever since.
You know basically in one capacity
or another working on radio copy.
