>> I did go to Yukon and it was
the best decision that I made.
And I was a physiology/neurobiology major
which is not aligned with business so much
but everyone was going the pre-med route.
Everyone was going into research
and I tried research.
I knew I didn't want to be a
doctor because I wanted to start
to have an impact at a young age.
And I didn't want to wait the
four years of medical school
and then residency to become a doctor.
While I have a ton of respect for doctors, it's
not an easy thing to go through medical school.
That wasn't for me.
But I knew I wanted to study something that
I was passionate about, which is science
and how certain molecules in your body
will work together for this result
that by themselves they would
have no effect on you.
So that was what I really liked and then I
decided to minor in business administration.
I took a lot of entrepreneurial classes,
business law, and I kind of leveraged
that business minor to get where
I am in this role in McKesson.
And that's more of a business
operations/logistics/HR role.
I was at a career fair and I was
actually there for another company.
I had no idea what McKesson was because
as a middleman we don't really need
to advertise that much.
The manufacturers know us
and the pharmacies know us.
You would never know by our name that
we're the 14th largest company in America.
