>> The people.
Absolutely the people.
Hands down.
Everything about it revolves around
the interpersonal relationship.
So, the customer relationships, the
relationships with business development staff,
with the leadership team that reports to me.
The whole nature of working with
people, to me, is extremely rewarding.
So, I describe myself as a change agent.
One of the very real aspects of being in a
leadership role is the development of strategy.
And a leadership role in an organization
often is one that is exceedingly lonely.
There is no one with whom you can necessarily
counsel that can provide you with the mentorship
and the guidance and the input that form
a framework for better decision-making.
So, the challenge for me has always
been where and with whom do I engage,
where do I look for that peer-to-peer
insight that can help me become, a.,
a better leader and, b., to validate the
decisions that I'm making allowing them,
in my estimation, to be made
in a more credible way.
