>> I would say for me it's just
the fact that it's never the same.
You know, it's a challenging culture.
When I first started, I think it
was a little bit of a shell shock.
You know, I came from two sort
of corporate finance internships
at bigger name brand companies,
doing more accounting-based work.
And the structure at an investment
bank is a little bit different.
You know, the filters from everybody you
work with are a little bit different.
You know, the constructive criticism
comes out a little bit faster and harder.
But for me, that's something that I don't
really think I could live without at this point.
Coming in every morning, you
don't know what's going to happen.
You don't know what the fire drill might be.
You work with different clients.
It's not focused on, you know, I'm not
working for one company and just, you know,
dealing with that specific company every day.
I'm working with different industries,
different companies, different people.
I'm on the road.
I'm going to be heading out to
Texas tomorrow for a two-day trip
to visit some of our clients down in Houston.
I'm going to be coming back and
heading to a utility conference
down in Orlando in a couple weeks.
And, you know, it mixes every day up,
and there's going to be something
new every day, something challenging.
And, you know, it's a little bit to get used to,
but it's definitely something
that I wouldn't change now.
The hardest part for me is, you know, and
I think I've got a better handle on it now,
but it's just getting used to that lifestyle.
I think when you first start, you
really don't, nobody's really prepared
for how fast-paced the finance industry is, how
quickly you're expected to adapt to things, how,
you know, the breadth of knowledge
that you're expected to absorb
over a relatively short period of time.
And for me, it's been just the quickest
growing process that I can imagine.
You know, I'm only out of U Conn for
three years now, and like I said,
I'm going to be on the road covering clients.
And this is something I do fairly frequently.
So that, you know, maturation process has been,
I would say, the biggest hurdle for me so far.
