>> Yeah, so I actually went to Marshall,
and I studied management and organization.
And it wasn't too long ago that I
was here, so it's nice to be back.
But before this, I was employed
at Metro, LA Metro:
the Metropolitan Transportation
Authority in downtown.
I worked in Construction Relations, which
is one branch of Community Relations.
So we did a lot of the outreach that had to
do with the construction phase of a project.
So once any project would hit construction,
we would go out and do the initial outreach
to let stakeholders and community
members know the project was coming.
And then during heavy construction,
we would be available to the community
so that their concerns could be
heard, and then we could mitigate
and coordinate with the contractor as well.
I always wanted to do consulting.
So it's one of those things where you
need to start at the bottom and you need
to take anything you can, almost,
to get the work experience,
and once you have that work experience,
leverage it to where you want to be.
So that's where I found myself.
