>> It's a whole different world
once you get out of school.
And companies like [inaudible], other
organizations, other corporations,
are looking for the intangibles as well.
And one of the intangibles
that allowed me to succeed
at the Los Angeles City Employees'
Association is positive attitude.
And that, I would say, is -- I
don't know how GI Joe would say,
but I think that's 50% of the battle.
Is that the way he would say that?
>> That's half the battle.
>> Half the battle is that you have
to have that positive attitude.
And if you come with that, it doesn't
matter if you don't have the skill set.
It doesn't matter if you
don't have the knowledge base,
because you can eventually learn those
things through training and some education.
As long as you have that positive attitude to
be able to be motivated to do those things,
to have the energy and drive to do those things,
you're going to be far above everybody else
in the organization, because you'll stand out.
And for, me, that was the one thing that shot
me up the corporate ladder as quickly as I did.
