>> I think, definitely, a passion
for service and a big heart is key.
Because we have to live this everyday and treat
each patient like if they were the only patient.
So you really have to have a
passion for helping others.
And other than that, it's really all about
communication and building relationships.
Yeah, for someone going into service excellence,
I would definitely recommend a degree
in communication, because it really helps.
I have two audiences that I focus on at work.
One, definitely, the internal,
which are all of our employees,
from front line staff to the chiefs.
And then, of course, the external
audience, which are the patients.
And so, really listening
to them, understanding each
of their needs helps us build
the better patient experience.
And I really feel that USC
helped prep me for this role.
