>> I went to USC for both my
undergrad and my graduate degrees.
For undergrad degree, I got a BA in
sociology and a minor in psychology,
and for my grad program, I did an
MA in communication management.
Well, you know, academic advising was not
even on my radar coming out of college.
I was one of those students who had
somewhat of an idea of what I wanted to do.
I wanted to go into entertainment.
That [inaudible] entertainment, and
that wasn't for me, and then in college,
I had always thrived in internships and things
that dealt with people and helping people.
And so my senior year, I was an orientation
advisor, and that really exposed me to the world
of student affairs and academic affairs, and
when I was applying to jobs after [inaudible].
My first job, I thought, oh, academic advising,
that's one of the things that I really kind
of liked and enjoy, the relationship I
developed with my academic advisor at USC,
and I decided that that would be a good path.
So, fortunately, I got this job,
and it's been a great run so far.
