>> I think the best thing, I mean,
it would definitely be good to get
to [inaudible] more entrepreneurial
start-up places are, you know,
like the Bay Area and LA, New York City.
There's some big set-ups
right now that's very hot.
There's a lot of energy going
on [inaudible] venture capital.
[inaudible] looking for talent and
[inaudible] people graduating that, you know,
getting that degree is the first step, because
companies actually value that a lot, in having,
you know, at least a bachelor's degree.
And because the work force is so competitive
now, that if you really don't have that level
of education, it gets pretty tough to get a job.
So I'd say get out there and, you
know, get in at any position you can,
and then establish yourself as a leader.
You know, make sure that people understand what
you have to say, understand your perspective.
Don't just sit back and, you know, just wait for
people to come to you to tell you what to do.
Actually practically come up
with the ideas [inaudible].
The most experience you can get in college
actually helps you get that job rather
than just relying on just a GPA or something.
Because [inaudible] real-life
experience that you have.
Like, for instance, when I was
at school here at Penn State,
I worked in the dorms fixing computers.
And I then I also worked for a
set-up called the [inaudible],
where we would crowd source information
about what's going on on campus,
and put it out for students, and
what's served in all the dining halls,
and what's going on down at the bars.
So I got this real-life experience early
on and then I, even after my freshman year,
I decided I didn't want to wait for
my junior year to get an internship,
so my first summer I made sure I had
an internship, and then the next year,
I made sure I got a co-op, and
then another internship after that.
So I got as much experience as I could.
And I think that's really important.
And then also, you know, join the
student organizations that are available.
And there's so many at Penn State, so, finding
out, you know, getting into a technical or,
you know, innovation-based groups
that are around is really important.
I know the IC school has them,
the business schools have them,
so there's plenty to get involved with.
