>> I think an undergrad student looking to get
into higher ed the coursework is probably
actually not going to matter quite as much
as the involvement outside of the classroom.
Getting involved outside of the
classroom in whatever area interests them,
whether it's Greek life, whether
it's student clubs and organizations,
whether it's being a resident assistant, it
could be working for Campus Safety, it could be,
you know, working in athletics, it can
be whatever their interest area is.
But that involvement is going to give them a
really good background and just a solid kind
of landing place when they eventually go to
grad school to start figuring things out.
Because to work in higher
ed in a professional role
for the most part you do need a master's degree.
So that undergrad experience is going to help
to build the foundation where then the classes
that they take in their master's
degree will allow them to get
into the field and be successful.
