>> It's really the interpersonal
communication and interaction with people.
The job is pretty multi-faceted.
It changes all year round so you're always kind
of doing something new but the one constant is
that you're always interacting with
people and that, to me, is exciting.
It's rewarding to be able to help
students make a pretty critical decision
in their educational and
even professional career.
It's a very rewarding position.
I think organization across the board.
For anybody in the office,
I think they might agree.
With so much going on from so many
different directions, it's not --
it's not typical that you're able
to focus on one thing at one time.
There's so much going on.
You know, like I said before, whether it's
talking to parents and students about Rollins
and helping them through that admission
process through event planning,
there're just so many facets to the job.
It's essential for you to keep everything
very organized and very clean in order
to be efficient and effective at what you do.
So, I think that's the biggest challenge.
Another challenge that's right
up there is probably listening.
The ability to communicate with
individuals and not just speak to them
because there's a big difference there, the
difference being that when I meet with a student
to try to figure out whether or not
Rollins is a good fit for them or not,
I've really got to understand what they're
wanting to get out of their college experience.
It just doesn't end with me
telling them about Rollins.
I've got to really understand what they want to
get out of it to figure out how to communicate
and how to connect with them and whether
or not it's even a good fit to begin with.
So, that an essential part as well.
