>> It's important to establish relationships,
but it's even more important
to maintain relationships.
I think a lot of students that we have are very
sociable, very outgoing, they're very likely
to make those first impressions
and make them well.
To meet a lot of people you
take the shot gun approach.
What happens after a while and this goes for
all of us, we lose those contacts and we forget
about the people that weren't able
to help us from the get go, right,
the things that we needed right
away, unfortunately they weren't able
to help us and we forget about them.
Now, if you think about it, what you want
at that point might not necessarily be
what you want in three years, five years
or ten years, towards your career choices.
So, I think it's very important to
maintain the relationships that you have
and keep regular e-mail postings or send a
post card or just say hey, I saw this article
about your company or about your
role, I wanted to forward it to you.
That's a great way and an informal way to keep
that relationship going because you never know.
And especially with the industry and the economy
that we have, you never know who you're going
to need help and they might need your help
at some point, which is another why a reason
to keep those relationships
going beyond the first contact.
>> Very true.
>> So, that's my advice.
