>> So, I was born in China and I
spent about four years in England also
and I spent the last eight to
nine years in the United States.
When I came over to the States, it
was half way through high school,
time to start looking at colleges.
I had the opportunity to visit Penn State
with my mother and just fell in love
with it the first time we visited
the campus, the people and everything
that was happening there, not to
mention the football, obviously.
So, when it came to the time to
decide, it was a very easy decision.
A great school, great program and at the
time I didn't know what I wanted to do.
You probably get that a lot
from the students that you have.
And what drew me to finance was really
the ability to work with not just numbers,
I'm a bit of a numbers guy, just like
a lot of the people we have in finance,
but work with people on the same level.
So, the opportunity came about to study
finance with the Smeal College of Business.
And it was a good experience.
I would mention to anyone if you have the
opportunity to do so, definitely take a look at.
I think it would be tougher for alums
like myself now to get into the major
because it's improved quite
a bit since I've graduated.
The discipline, the rigorous
academia that they really try to put
in place, it's helping, it's helping.
And it gives students that
edge with the programs
that they have whether it's the
Nittany Lion Fund, The Trading Room,
Lions on Wall Street, for example.
A lot of the initiatives are really
helping students to understand careers
in the Wall Street world, if
you will, after graduation.
