>> So I graduated from Penn State, and then I
worked for 2 years in banking at Merrill Lynch.
And from there I spent after that 2 years
at a mezzanine shop called Crescent Capital.
And then I got my MBA, so I kind of did
4 years before going back to school.
So I walked into school thinking I wanted to be
an actress, but I guess what girl doesn't walk
into school thinking maybe that would be fun.
Realized I wasn't so good at it.
So I kind of I thought that
finance would be interesting.
I was worried about marketing, that would be
too fluffy for me, so I started taking finance
and I added international business and I
have a French minor because I just really
like the global aspect of being able
to do business in different languages.
My mom speaks French and Spanish.
So to me that was really important,
and that's kind of how I built --
I like the analytics of the finance.
I like the international aspect of
international business and I liked
to being able to study abroad for French.
Apax asked me if I wanted to
interview and I said sure.
It's a global firm, it's got
one of the best reputations.
I wanted to specialize in a sector, so health
care was something that I was interested in.
And I interviewed and I was
fortunate to get a job.
