>> Every major event, I've worked all sports
such as, like, NFL, NBA, the NBA All-Star Game,
[inaudible] work with NASCAR [inaudible] where
I traveled with some of the teams in the past.
I've also done some of the major
entertainment events such as American Idol.
>> Mmhmm.
>> Ringling Brothers Circus, Disney on Ice
[inaudible] a long list of entertainment
and marketing things that I've done.
>> What's been your, your favorite to-
>> The-
>> to work on?
>> The DNC was one of my favorites, just
being at the Democrat National Convention,
reason being is that it comes
once every 4 years.
Once you are selected to work for them
they call you back to do the next 1.
So that's an every 4-year thing.
But in order for you to be really qualified
and available to do it you have a culmination
of all your skills so that's the 1 time that you
have a limited amount of time to show someone,
who you don't know, who's never met
you, who you are and your skills.
And if you are good enough you'll
see that immediately in additional,
and as strange as it sounds,
you get additional work.
[inaudible] spread you on.
For me I began with nomination night.
>> Mmhmm.
>> Being in charge of about 5,000 people.
>> Mmhmm.
>> I was moved over to the convention
center, to another 10,000 people.
>> Mmhmm.
>> All because of my skills and things
that I've learned here at Strayer
as well as because of my background.
I have a Master's Degree here
from Strayer, a Bachelor's Degree
and Wells Fargo has given me a
scholarship to study project management.
So I also have the understanding
of how to run an event based
on the PMP project management skills.
Go back to the Democratic National Convention,
it was like a culmination of
everything that I've done.
>> Mmhmm.
>> I was the assistant to the director
of operations for the volunteers.
So I managed over 10,000 people, developed
training schedules, also helped not only train
but also created the paperwork and
developed the actual individuals
into what the Democratic Party
wanted the volunteers to be.
Because there's a difference
from working politics and events
and there's a certain way
they want you to do things.
