>> You know what, I think now the
foundation is the bachelors and I think
that most nurses should go back and
try to get their master's degree,
but not until you have figured out
what it is that you'd like to do.
I always think of master's
degree as this specialization
and so where do you want to specialize?
Do you want to specialize in
administration or leadership
or education or as a nurse practitioner?
It's hard to know that when you come
right out of a bachelors program
without working in nursing for a little bit.
So I think that it's good to
get a year or two of experience
and then really go hardcore back into a masters.
You'd be amazed at how many people who are
direct patient care givers in the hospitals
who have their master's degree
and that's what they love to do,
but they still want their masters.
So you know that, again, foundation is bachelors
and then building on that is a masters.
