>> And I think that looking back on my career
and my background I would certainly have advised
my younger self to focus on finding a job
in a company that you'll enjoy working in,
that you might even be passionate about.
I think if someone was a sports fan and had
an accounting degree they might want to look
into getting a job in the accounting
department of a sports franchise.
Accounting is an interesting
career to take up in college.
Because every single company in every single
city in every single office building needs
to have an entry level accounting person.
Now, with the degree that I got from Brooklyn
College and then the experience I had
in public accounting I had
the option to work anywhere.
And if I could go back 25 years and talk to my
younger self I would advise myself to figure
out what I was interested in, what I was
passionate about, and then focus on trying
to get an entry level position with
a company that matched that passion.
And it's made my career much
more pleasant and happy here.
I've been here 15 years.
I wouldn't say it's a joy
to come to work every day,
but I would say that I don't have the same
day-to-day challenges that my colleagues
who are also in finance experience.
