>> I, don't get me wrong I do love what I do,
I do like being a nurse practitioner a lot,
because I like the fact that, I think nurses
are better at kind of putting together the mind,
body, and soul, so to speak, of patient care,
then physicians are, and they're more realistic,
so I can sit down and talk to you
and get more information out of you,
whereas a doctor is more like, boom,
bang, boom, and I'm out of here,
and they don't really spend a whole lot of
time with you, they don't get to know you.
So that's the one thing I
do like about what I do.
But then on the other side of it, every
day you deal with the scrutiny of oh,
like with your patients, oh, are you a doctor?
Are you, are you going to be a doctor?
You know, and that's kind of the,
it's disheartening you know, in a way,
and it kind of, you build time and they have to
see that you know what you're doing, you know,
and then builds confidence
rapport with your patients.
But, in a way, sometimes, some days I
do wish I had went to medical school,
instead of becoming a nurse practitioner.
But other than that, you know, I really
do enjoy what I, I really do enjoy it and,
when you're looking at a financial aspect to,
now that medicine is getting so specialized,
a lot of nurse practitioners end up making more
than most physicians do, unless
you're in anesthesia, so.
