>> My degree was Bachelor's of Science
in nursing at Villanova University.
And I work at the Children's
Hospital of Philadelphia
in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
When I was a junior, there was a
program called the Extern Program
at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
And I was lucky enough to get into that program.
I was on a different floor.
But I think that kind of, like, helped me
through getting to choose my connections,
the fact that I never stopped working there.
So then I applied for the NICU because I was
more interested in the intensive care part.
And that was my first job right out of college.
I just - my brother, when I was younger, was
in the hospital for a long period of time,
and I always - I - for some reason
I liked the teacher, the medical,
just - I was very interested in people.
So those two fields were very interesting to me.
And then when my brother was in the
hospital, I thought maybe a doctor.
But then my family, we got attached
to a couple of nurses on the floor.
And I just enjoyed their care and
getting to know them and their aspect
of the whole medical part that
my brother was going through.
So I changed my mind, and I applied right, as a
nurse, to Villanova University and got accepted
to their nursing program
when I started freshman year.
