>> In this day and age, one of the-- I think
at least in software and really implies to kind
of any technology areas is you're really
looking for people who are innovative,
who are willing to look at kind of
outside this traditional models,
who are willing to find new
ways to approach problems.
Because that's what your, you know, like
for HP that's what we're really looking for.
It's what I actually classify
as what separates you
from being a programmer to
being a true engineer.
You know, there is the traditional
base that you need to get.
I mean, you need to be a good software engineer,
a good development engineer, electrical,
whatever engineering program you're going in to.
You have to have that traditional base but
then it's also really important to go get some
of the business classes, get
some of the different types of--
if you have a special area you would like to go
into, you know, focus in because there's getting
to be so many different areas of
what-- of engineering that you go to.
You might want to take some classes in that
area just to give you a better understanding
of how does that type of
customer think about it.
