>> Well, obviously finance and
economics backgrounds are key.
You've got to understand life numbers.
You're going to be dealing with it a lot.
Communications is a great place to
have some background as well, I think.
You know, international business.
We have people that have law backgrounds.
It doesn't have to be, you
know, an accounting role.
I think the main thing is is you need
to go through school like it's a career.
You need to treat your education
at that time like it's a career.
It'll never stop, you know.
I'm still, we have to take
continuing education courses.
You want to become certified.
As you clients' needs grow or as their
families grow, their needs are going to grow.
As their needs are going to grow, your level
of knowledge is going to have to grow with them
or they're going to find somebody who has.
And that said, you're going to end up
with a position where you're going to.
College is just the first
step of your education.
It doesn't end at graduation.
You got to be able to work with people.
You've got to be candid with people, you have
to be able to have tough decisions with them.
Or help them with tough decisions.
You have to have tough conversations with
them sometimes and help them understand that,
you know, you're educated in this background
and you're there as an advisor for them.
I think one of the class structures that's
good for students is entrepreneurial classes.
Having someone who can drive their own business.
You're accountable no one but yourself.
And so at the end of the day, there's not really
going to be someone here who's going to ride,
you know, a herd over you your entire career
to make sure you're doing what's necessary.
So I think the thing that I look
for in new agents is someone here
who has an extreme work ethic.
