>> My first career choice was
actually an architect and business.
And then I wanted to be a pro baseball
player, but it turned out I wasn't very good.
I did play some D one ball for a bit.
Just cooking was a passion,
kind of more of a hobby.
I moved here awhile back about ten years
ago, and I wanted to live next to my family.
And I worked in other restaurants.
And I'm not saying that Little
Rock's market wasn't struggling.
But there was just a need for some -- for
some younger chefs I guess that doesn't --
where he don't put butter and
cream on every single dish.
I just wanted to kind of bring something to
Little Rock that's a little bit different.
But I've just been blessed.
It's a great -- this -- I think
I chose the right career path
because I've been very successful.
I've been very blessed.
I love Little Rock.
I didn't think I would, moving from Chicago.
But I'll tell you it's not for everybody.
Whenever you look at a chef, you
think it's all, like, glamour.
And we just wear our jackets.
And it's parties and meeting famous people.
And doing all these cool events.
There's a lot of hard legwork.
And it can be very stressful at times.
