>> Well if you want to get started
know your stuff and whatever you do.
In radio, like I said radio traditional
like I got into it is different now
because of the internet and
because of technology.
Take any kind of voice lessons.
I did take you know voiceover lessons
to learn to speak a certain way
and not just this way, to change you know.
I was listening to William Shatner on MPR
today and he has such an approach you know.
He does those Priceline commercials and he's,
he's like he doesn't take himself
seriously you know and start,
you know from Captain Kirk to now.
So find your, try to find what you,
who you are or give yourself a chance
to develop who you are as you go along.
Read, write and I'm going to talk about
books and then you know also keep abreast
of the technology if you have
an aptitude for you know music
and equipment you know read your
publications and things like that.
And just be open to criticism and don't take
it, you know harshly if somebody tries to help.
And if you want to get into it like
I said you got to be, they are wanted
but like I said also don't quit your day job.
I'm telling you get something else
you got to have a backup plan.
>> Not right away any right?
>> Yeah. I didn't because it's not
going to happen like that you know.
I didn't do that.
So I'm you know I'm struggling right now a bit.
So it's that's a testimony to
like don't quit your day job.
I can't say that, you got to
have something else on the side.
I don't care if you mow lawns or you
know especially these days and times.
Find a service that something that you can
do for somebody else while you're on craft.
There are all these technical schools.
There's audio research classes, there's you know
there's courses you can take you know Institute
of Audio Research or whatever.
Go into that but have something
else going on too
so that you don't end up starving like Jimmy B.
